Permanent Magnet (PM) Machines

The best way to appreciate DDS PM machines is to comprehend the possibilities.  DDS PM machines typically operate in the 23,000 to 5,000rpm range, and have the power of a 2400kW machine packaged into a conventional 100kW motor frame size.  The technology opens up new possibilities and unleashes new approaches to products by OEMs.

As a result of the high efficiency of DDS motors, the efficiency of an entire system is optimized. The robust rotor construction maximizes rotor stiffness for higher bending mode frequencies. The low number of rotor poles reduces stator losses, and the latest technology in stator lamination materials minimizes stator iron losses.  

Available in air-cooled or liquid-cooled versions, these machines offer the latest technology in high-strength, rare-earth materials for very high power density (minimum size) and very high efficiency.
