FRAME 8
The Frame 8 machine delivers up to 8MW (10,725HP) of power while operating at 15,000rpm.   Similar to DDS’ other machines, Frame 8 also offers operational speed and power flexibility while maintaining its extremely high efficiencies of around 98%.   Frame 8 is a formed wound machine with operational voltages between 4,460 to 6.600V.   With this operational flexibility, the Frame 8 will cover the majority of the compression and power generation applications globally. Besides the higher efficiency, lack of gearbox, smaller size and weight, higher reliability and lower maintenance, the Frame 8 costs are significantly lower compared to conventional synchronous machines.  This is one of the major breakthroughs in the high speed motor industries.  DDS now not only delivers cost benefits on the operational side but also brings significant cost reductions.
