Direct Drive Systems Hires Kevin McGlensey as President & CEO for the Company.

- Direct Drive Systems (DDS), a producer of high power, high-speed motors and generators, announced that it has hired on Mr. Kevin McGlensey as President & CEO. Mr. McGlensey will be responsible for running the company and reporting directly to the Board Members. “We are very happy that Kevin has decided to join us at Direct Drive Systems,” said Mr. Vatche Artinian, Chairman of Direct Drive Systems. “He brings valuable experience with the Renewable Energy market and implementation of corporate marketing strategies to the company that we’re very excited about. He has a solid track record of increasing commercial revenues and the leadership necessary to lead a team to achieve goals. Bringing Kevin on board will take the company to the next level and we have every confidence that he will be able to do that.”
Mr. Kevin McGlensey had this to say about the appointment, “DDS is a dynamic, innovative company with excellent potential. I am very excited about this opportunity and look forward to working with the great team at Direct Drive Systems.”
Before joining the DDS team, Mr. McGlensey was the President of ORYXE Energy International, a California based Organic fuel additives company. In his role as President he helped build and grow the venture backed start-up to $16 million in revenue by targeting key industry customers and implementing strategic goals. Additionally, he helped raise more than $32 million in financing from Venture firms and private investors. Prior to joining ORYXE Energy, McGlensey was President of Invensys Process Automation Products, a division of the United Kingdom’s largest diversified engineering company with revenues exceeding $13 billion. During his first year, McGlensey’s leadership resulted in increasing profits 14 percentage points. He was also President of Triconex Corporation, a venture backed start up with a successful IPO, that was purchased by Invensys. Triconex is the leading supplier of fault tolerant safety systems for the Oil and Gas industry.
Mr. Kevin McGlensey holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University located in Philadelphia, PA and is a member of the Board of Directors for Crittenton Services for Children and Families in Orange County, California.

DDS products include a line of high-speed, high-power motors, generators, magnetic bearings and power electronics. DDS technology allows its electrical machines to rotate at speeds matching the compressor and gas turbine shaft speeds up, thereby eliminating gear boxes and lube oil systems.
